REPORT ON LEGAL AWARENESS CAMPAIGN-CUM- DISTRIBUTION CAMP
AT KEIFANG
With the initiation of the Member Secretary, Mizoram State Legal Services Authority, Legal Awareness-cum-Distribution Camp was organised at Keifang on 19.03.2021. Legal Awareness Campaign was organised with an objective to aware the leaders of different NGOs so that can further disseminate among the general people.about their rights and duties and also about various schemes which can be availed by the differently abled persons.
The programme was chaired by Mr. Lalrinawma, VCP Keifang. The chairman delivered a welcome speech and had an introduction of the participants from various NGOs.
In the technical session Mr. KV Tlangmawia, Advocate gave lecture on Lok Adalat. He also highlighted the different kinds of cases that can be discussed in the Lok Adalat.
Rev. Zosangliana, Conciliator gave lecture on the rights and duties of the citizens. He also mentioned the duties of the parents towards caring of the disabled persons within their family.
Prof. Zokaitluangi, Conciliator also gave lecture on the rights of persons with disability and different schemes that can be availed by them. In her lecture she also stressed how UDID can be availed and the mandatory of availing it for their benefits.
After the techinal session, distribution of Physical aid material was hosted by Ms. Mimi H.Rosiamliani, Project Coordinator, Mizoram SLSA. Before the distribution, she had an introduction of the Resource Persons and the Staff coming to attend the programme.
Mr. K. Lalropuia, LDC, Mizoram SLSA stressed the functions of the State Legal Services Authority and proposed a vote of thanks and winded up the programme.
