REPORT ON LEGAL AWARENESS CAMPAIGN AT KOLASIB
In order to implement NALSA “Legal Services to the Victims of Drug Abuse and Eradicate of Drug Menace” Legal Awareness Campaign was conducted with DLSA, Kolasib at Hmar Veng Community Hall, Kolasib on 05.03.2021.
In this programme, Mr. Samuel Lalfela, Vice Chairman, Ruihhlo Do Committee was the chairperson. To start with the programme Mr. Ralthansanga, Adviser, Hmarveng Branch YMA had a devotion. Introduction of the Ruihhlo Do Committee and reports regarding the performance towards eradication of Drug was given by Mr. Roney C. Lalrinmawia, Secretary, Ruihhlo Do Committee.
Ms. Zothansangi Tlau, the first Resource Person deliver a speech on the topic ND&PS Act and also highlighted the punishments, provisions of the ND&PS Act follow by ionteraction and a melodious song sung by Mr. H. Zairemmawia.
Mrs. Lalrinpuii, the second Resource Person delivered a speech on Various provisions of the Mizoram Liqour Prohibition Act followed by interaction and a melodious song sung by Mr. K. Lalrinsiama.
Mr. R. Vanlalena, Member Secretary, Mizoram SLSA also stressed on the Role of NGOs in reducinng menace of drug abuse which was followed by interaction with the participants.
For winding up the programme, Mr. Johny C. Lalmuanpuia proposed a vote of thanks.
